Module 12: Construction of Multiple-choice Tests

Typically the type of exam constructed is decided by class size. Multiple-choice tests are usually given to large classes, essay tests are given to small classes, and short answer tests are often used for medium size classes. Ideally your educational goals should govern the type of test that is constructed and administered.

As an instructor you should ask —
"What am I attempting to test and at what level of understanding?"
Catalyst
What determines if a test is fair? Have you ever taken a test that was really bad - or one that was really good? What factors did you consider in making that determination?
