Module 13: Giving Feedback

Timing of Feedback

Ideally, feedback should be given immediately! The more immediate the feedback, the more effective it will be. By giving feedback as soon as possible after an event or during the course of a learning activity, the better both the educator and the learner will be able to recall the performance accurately. This means the circumstances of the event will provide more concrete information on which to build improvement for future performance.
